How much info do you give your players when they enter a new room/area?

For the sake of the argument, let's say it's a room? We obviously describe the general layout of the room, ambiance if applicable and maybe a few things that would describe the sort of room it is (i.e there's a bed and dresser, so this might be a bedroom). Maybe there's a rug, do we also describe it? What about the open window? Or the trunk at the end of the bed? Or that <plot item> that's in the nightstand?

How far do we describe a room on a percentage from 0% (no description) to 100% (every single thing in the room explained and noted)?

Looking forward to some ideas, as I honestly am running shortπŸ˜„
