I can RP as a player but not as a DM.

For some reason, RP comes so naturally as a player. I was driving yesterday practicing my Strahd RP (curse of strahd is the campaign of course), and it just didn't feel right at all. It doesn't come naturally, and I feel... congested?
Has anyone else had this experience? Any ideas, suggestions?
