What tactics could a medieval army use to face against an army of Giants?

Post Body

It is the final battle of my campaign, and a tolkeinesque alliance of men, dwarves, and elves gathered by the party is about to fight a great army of giants led by the Storm King. For reference, the alliances army has about 5000 soldiers to around 300 giants (the majority of which are Stone, Fire, and Storm Giants.)
The players cooked up an Empire Strikes Back style plan of tripping the giants with rope tied between horses, which I think is a great idea, but what are some other ideas for tactics the army can use against the Giants? Thanks for the help!
