So a simple but effective change we do at my table is make it so that if you go down any death saving throws you accumulate don't vanish upon being healed until a long or short rest.
These count to the ones you save or don't.
So if you don't get healed straight away and fail 2 death saving throws you could be 1 away from death.
I think it adds a lot to make healers feel more useful and effective and it stops the yoyo'ing.
Healing now has to be thoughtful and strategic.
Does anybody else do this or do they stick with RAW?
Other than the increased liklihood of death, are there any major flaws to this style?
