(I think I've fixed my problem now.)
To keep this short and sweet. We're in a homebrew campaign (shock & awe) and I'm playing a heavily homebrewed character (wow!).
All you need to understand about "them" is that they're an Eldritch Monstrosity. (And no, they're chaotic good funnily enough). But... I picked Moon Druid since the primal shape-shifting is close enough to what I originally envisioned for my character.
Problem: Since my character doesn't follow druid logic at all. I had to make a lot of changes to make it work the way I thought was appealing for my character. But... This brought on a lot of systematic detriments to me.
Mainly from "HP". Because my psychic creature is using her actual body rather than a transformation spell. I have had difficulties systemizing how her temporary HP should work and really just scores overall. She actually has pretty good stats so most low-CR creatures don't yield many benefits.
For being the supposed "tank", I go down rather frequently and that's pretty BAD as one could imagine.
So, I'm inquiring for assistance from fellow geeks... 🧐
