My group is l just finished up Strahd and we're going on to the DMs homebrew which seems like it will be really fun. I am rolling a tabaxi warlock. He becomes a warlock after falling from a ship during a storm and getting "rescued" by the patron, who offers to save him if he would serve his will.
After accepting, the tabaxi awakens and takes in the name Storm Fallen (in tabaxi style).
What I'm trying to figure out is, what should his original name be? It's important because NPCs who know him will call him by his original name, and it will be relevant for character quests
Pre-warock:
Looks: Slightly below average height, light striped orange fur, very cookie cutter and non descript.
Lifestyle: He was a pirate, and not a very good one. Hence falling off the ship during a storm. He didn't have very many useful skills or combat ability. He was just happy to be around. When he was at port, he'd try "tomcatting" (no pun intended) but was never successful.
Personality: Being small and unskilled, he had a big chip on his shoulder. Not having very many natural talents made him ineffective at addressing that chip. He was a bit of a drunkard and also a bit histrionic, because he did enjoy playing tunes on his flute and drunkenly purring at the pretty guys and gals who pass by.
I'm this homebrew, the world was pretty messed up, so the traditional hierarchy and history of the Tabaxi aren't relevant. He's pretty much just a standard commoner with a few perks before starting guys service to the fathomless.
Anyone have any cool Tabaxi cultural names I might use?
