I’m going to give my characters a giant mech, which requires five people to pilot, anyone know how make it fun?

Post Body

Basically, they’re going to have it for the duration of one dungeon. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to balance an encounter, and give them a reason to use the mech rather than just run through the dungeon on foot? Also what should they be fighting? I really like the concept, but I’m trying to design a statblock for it and that’s the part of D&D I’m bad at.

EDIT: I’ve been informed that my concept sounds a lot like Voltron, and I ought to say it’s not at all what I was going for, and that I was actually trying to make the Bagger 288.
