What sorts of creatures would be able to avoid a False Hydra in its cave?

Going to run a False Hydra One-Shot for my players. But once they get to the cave want to have maybe one or two other creatures lurking about so they don't just wander until they find it. So my question is what creatures would be able to survive living in the same space as a False Hydra? One I think would work is a Gelatinous Cube since they are blind past 5 ft anyway and are deaf so they would be immune to the Hydras effects. But what else would be able to live alongside probably as a scavenger, able to avoid the Hydra and feed on its leftovers kind of creature?
