What are some sacrifices you make as a divorced dad?
Post Body

I was discussing my work schedule with my oldest kid, who is in middle school. I work roughly 2am until 10am Tuesday through Saturday. I mentioned that I was going to crash early tonight (530/6) and she asked if I was ever going to have a regular hours type job. I explained the reasons I work the hours I do. Mondays off, I'm off by 10 so if someone is sick no one is missing work. Also the ability to take them to all appointments. Not to mention how awesome it is during the summer and days off from school when we basically get a whole day to do whatever.

So my sacrifice is my social life. Very few will tolerate my weird schedule. That's good. Weeds out the fake friends. I've got a few close people that totally get it. And guess what? I make time for them.
