First time posting in this sub, I'm sadly working my way over here from the DB sub. If you want to be depressed you can read my posts there for background.
Long story short, this marriage is not sustainable and I need to explore my options for the good of my family.
I feel like we have tried everything, except therapy. I will admit that I am very skeptical and I've read mixed reviews, however before I consider hitting the eject button, I want to be sure we have explored every reasonable option so at least I can leave knowing I tried. I am sure this question has been posed a million times so thank you for bearing with me.
My question is: did couples therapy help you? If so, how?
Did it actually get you to where you wanted to be as a couple or did it only help for a little while?
Did anyone divorce without therapy?
For context: 41M and 38F 4 year old
Thank you
