This is our first Christmas separated. We have two young kids, 7 and 4. We made plans to spend Christmas morning together. She recently asked if I wanted to spend the night Christmas Eve. She has a spare bedroom. I agreed. I find it odd that she would do this, especially since she’s seeing someone else. I know it’s all about the kids and only about them. But we have next to no relationship at all, very basic co parenting. She left because she wasn’t happy. Something about this whole situation just seems really odd to me, any ideas as to why she would do this? And is it even a good idea.
