The wife wants to do 50/50 custody 1.5 hours away (where her parents live and will move in with her parents) while she finishes up grad school.

She then says she will move closer to my house once she finishes grad school in 1 year and will continue to do 50/50 custody.

Seems very risky to me. Like she's trying to set a precedent and also after 6 months in my state she will be able to establish residency.

I'm 33 and wife is 28. Kids are 4 and 3.

Also I'm the primary care taker and she's the bread winner making 140k a year while I provided the housing and utilities.
