Hi All thought I would try here hoping someone else has been here too.

My wife and I are separating (on good terms) and I am happy for her to keep the house however, we have no idea where to begin!

The details Initially we put £30,000 down on the house (3 bedroom) and we live on a still under construction new build estate. It is a shared ownership and we own 50%.

From the research I have done I have gathered the easiest way would be for my wife to remortgage for my £15,000 so I can use that to start my new single life 😥. At the same time we would have to do a transfer of equity? I think. I also don't want to do the transfer before I get my money (call me selfish but the money would be used to buy my own house)

Any advice is greatly appreciated and any other advice you have on the situation.
