Such a terrible feeling

My wife is separating with me but has been trying to keep me in limbo until I expect her to end things in couples counselling after Christmas The approach makes sense as we have two kids and don’t want to hurt them. It is so hard to fake it through the Christmas season and to sleep in the same bed as someone who loathes you.
I am trying to enjoy the moment as I expect it will be our last Christmas as a family. What a terrible and strange feeling.
