Did the Enhanced Edition change some things in Hiberheim?

So I was trying to use the GameBanshee guide for Hiberheim and found some inconsistencies; like the four switches that are supposed to turn off a lava trap, however when I went to do so the trap was already turned off and then there was the treasure room and the Winter Ring; it was already there to be picked up and I didn’t need to use the amulet or anything.
