I'm a good 8 hours into the Nameless Isle on DE and just now realizing how badly I effed up the quest order by entering the Academy on the first leg of my exploration. What boggles my mind is how simple it was to go that way (location:) in the extreme bottom right of the map, simple with a few smart teleports and how there is no warning that two or three major questlines: Gareth's quest for revenge, Bishop Alexander's patronage, and to a lesser extent the sallow man but there's a cheap workaround to access him but I haven't figured out if I can get his quest or not cause he aggro'd on Lohse first time and I quit out are just obliterated by exploring in one direction versus another and you can't figure it out until you realize your journal isn't advancing when you meet these characters. The quests don't even say [closed]. Does anyone know if I've lost this XP permanently?

If anyone wants to avoid this pitfall, then explore the island in a clockwise direction, making sure to explore the Elven temple in the north before proceeding back southwest to the other altars. Or just stay the f out of the Academy until you've finished Gareth, Alexandar and the Sallow Man quests
