Rusted bell and bahara question.

When I ring the bell the lizard walks over to the ledge but doesn’t say anything. I know she’s suppose to drop the vines down but she doesn’t engage in any dialog. Loving this game and have no idea what to do now. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.
