First of all, thank you to everyone for your support, kind words, and helpful opinions. An update to my situation. The antibiotics are definitely starting to help my pain but when you push on my side it’s excruciating. My white count is back down to a normal range. So far all good news. Then I finally meet the surgeon. I’ve been looking forward to this all day. He proceeds to tell me because my diverticulitis is in my descending colon at the top he wants to cut out 15 INCHES. FROM THE TOP TO MY RECTUM. I am at a loss. What if this happens again? That’s just so wreckless. I have requested to be transferred to UT Southwestern. Hopefully will have better news coming soon.
