Hi everyone!
Now that it’s confirmed DLR won’t open until sometime in 2021, I’m wondering if they will still honor all of our pass extensions! Especially as we get closer to a 1 year closure :(
Anyway, I only had like 5.5 months left on my pass but I hope they stick to their word that we would all be able to use the rest of our AP upon reopening.
Do you think this will change?
Legally no... they didn't have to thanks to Force majeure. They don't even need to offer partial refunds however they have already publicly stated they will offer this or extensions so from a legal standpoint they have now established the expectation and obligation. There is also the precedent of what they have done at WDW and other parks. But above all they know that AP holders are among their most loyal customers, Disney also makes a significant percentage of their income off the back of food and merchandise purchases in the park so they know it's in their interest to look after AP holders - especially as it may be significantly longer before they start to see the international visitor turnover and dollar once again.
