We just recently came into enough money (aiming to budget around $2000-$3000) for a trip this summer to Disneyland. I worked for Disney World for 8 months, 10 years ago, so I had kind of a feel for the ebb and flow of the parks during peak seasons and kind of have an idea of the little tricks to having a good time and efficiently using our time between attractions. Disneyland is a whole different beast to me though. Haven't been there since I was like 8 years old. I know June through August is peak seasons all summer, but is there a better time to aim for than others in that time frame?
Looking around this sub, I know the timing is kind of short notice. And I'm sure we'll save money on eating frugally, but we do love to eat so what are must try places in Disney to eat?
This is our first trip as a family and noncastmembers, so any extra advice is more than welcome. I've seen lots of recommendations to speak with an Earmark and I'm sure we will, but I love hearing different opinions and options from different sources.
Breakdown: 2 Adults, 2 Children (4 and 6 year olds)
Loosely planning on a 6 day 5 night trip.
Will be driving down to California and looking at good neighbor hotels, but open to other suggestions.
Thinking of spending 3 to 4 days in the parks. Though not sure if California Adventure is a good fit for small children.
Want to spend maybe 2 days at a beach (traveling there from the hotel each day.) Is there a nicer beach in the Disneyland area?
