Visiting one park, which one and any tips?

Post Body

My family takes a huge family vacation to the beach together every year to the same place, around 45 minutes from Orlando. My wife and I (both age 26) have never been to Disney, and are considering making the day trip to Orlando to visit Disney World. The goal is to visit one park this year, and ultimately visit a different park every year we go until we see them all. Our questions are: Is it worth it for only one day? If yes, Is it still worth it during the heat of July? lol. And which park would you recommend and any tips for first timers? Thanks for any help!
