Family trip for 2025

I am going to be taking my wife and 2 kids 16, 8 to wdw and want to go from fall into Christmas switch over. I know it's early still but want to start planning as soon as possible. When does the switchover start? I've been 3 x wife and daughter 1x and son has never been. I want to make it a great time for all of us. I was thinking 5 days 4 night stay and have a modest $6k budget.
