So I was casually strolling through youtube trying to clean up the garbage my front page recommends to me when I actually found a video that caught my attention.
The video was Kurzgesagt â In a Nutshellâs Video; Can You Upload Your Mind & Live Forever? Now ith a title like that of course you hop right in, and while watching he makes a point right around 6:05 about how the human brain might not be easy to digitize due to its complexity being down to levels that would make it impossible to scan.
That already caught my interest when I first watched it, but when youtube commenter Ăyvind Aandalen and many more pointed out the fact that although pulled off correctly, you still wouldnât achieve immortality because of the limit of conscious transfer. You wouldn't feel the other being, itâd just be you but in another place. With that consensus it seems to be a morality quiz all the sudden, would you give another you a chance at life? If it is technically not you do you have the right over its life? Who would (most likely) pay an expensive fee for someone else's immortality?
I'm not here to decide the morality of treating free clones with rights though, that's far out of my qualifications considering I first typed it with a C. I just remembered some random jammerings by family members about this sick new science called Quantum Entanglement and how it totally means the force might be a real thing. For all of the people who don't look up words with quantum in them in middle school to be cool, Quantum Entanglement Is simply put âQuantum entanglement is a phenomenon observed at the quantum scale where entangled particles stay connected (in some sense) so that the actions performed on one of the particles affects the other, no matter the distance between two particles.â -Astrogeekz. This although just a theory A GAME THEORY! It may be the missing piece on how to transfer your feeling to an artificial or perhaps synthetic clone.
I am by no means claiming to have found an answer, I don't provide any way of Entangling particles purposefully, nor do I Even have more than a basic understanding of the theory which is why I am here in the first place. To discuss and rip my argument to shreds so that I can try to think around it. I simply wish to hear others input and criticism despite how much there might be. I'm sorry for any bad humor but I felt this was getting boring.
