This presidential race is bringing something interesting to light; the younger generations, who have seemed so progressive in fighting racism, sexism, and bigotry, don’t seem to have much of a problem engaging in ageism. Why does ageism not carry the same social justice weight?

Right. It just seems like all along during this campaign, assumptions are being made about both Biden’s and Trump’s fitness, based solely on their age.

My comment is not specific to the debate last night. I could have posted it a week ago. I’m referring to the way I’ve consistently heard assumptions about both Biden’s and Trump’s abilities based solely on their age, rather than their actual abilities. As I understand it, that is ageism
