I believe more people would choose to die than to stay alive, if they didn't have obligations to appear somewhere the next day

I just finished a workout and I'm walking home. I started thinking about what i am going to do tomorrow. I then came to the realization that if i didnt have any obligations anywhere i.e. work, parental, or spousal obligations, I don't think id mind just ceasing to exist and I think a lot of others feel the same, albeit, less curiosity-driven and more of a relief from misery. I personally can't (but can) wait for death because the fear if not existing is substantially less than the curiosity of finding out what's next. I think if organized religion was an absolute truth, I'd be a proponent of purgatory. I don't believe because of faith and I'd be more akin to the likes of Socrates or Virgil (in the sense that I don't trust but I seek and I ask questions) and in Dante's Purgatorio (a fan fic I know), I think id be assigned to Ante-Purgatory. I say that to say I think when I die, there will be another life for me. Not like this one, likely not even in this dimension is my guess.

I wonder if anyone else has a take on afterlife that borders delusion and curiosity lol.
