I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month and I've always found it best to develop my characters via roleplay. I think it would be a lot of fun to do a couple threads for each of our characters and play out some scenarios to get to know the characters better. The plots we write can be similar to the novels if you want. I'm fine doing AUs, too.

My characters are from a series of short stories set in the Viking era. I can write them in modern, fantasy or supernatural settings. The characters and their character arcs will be written at the bottom.

My requirements:
21 preferred
Mature themes will be present
Minimum 3-4 paragraphs, no maximum. I've broken discord character limit before, depending on the scene.
Any gender of writer or character, preference given to LGBT

Larkin (M/M only)
The youngest son of four, as well as the smallest and with the weakest constitution. He faded into the background as his brothers studied to be lords of their own land, husbands to fair princesses and carry on their father's legacy. Larkin, left to his own devices, enjoyed music, bird-watching and the company of several service boys in the castle. In his story, his family is murdered by vikings and he's left alive to spite his father.

Ivan (Any gender)
He is the son of his mother's prophecy. She predicted she would die when she gave birth to him, but she urged his father and older sister not to resent him. According to her, violence was in his nature, but he could be tempered with mentoring and kindness. For a while, he was treated with as much love and care his grieving family could muster, but as he grew, his ill temper got worse. It made him a persistent hunter and fierce protector of his clan, but he had no friends. Only brothers in arms. Respect out of fear. In his story, he meets someone who fights his fire with fire and matches his intensity.

Ragna (Any gender)
A devotee of Loki, Ragna is a genderfluid rogue who left her clan to make her own way in the English countryside. She made an excellent thief, occasionally working with others until the inevitable double-cross. Her motives are simple: Get lots of money, eat lots of sweets, and fuck as much as possible. But, she was never much of a killer until a series of events led her to putting a knife in a noble's son, earning her the label of assassin. In her story, she is captured by a knight, but their caravan is destroyed leaving the two of them to depend on each other for survival.
