Am i too dumb for this game?

I am actually interested on the script and flow of the story until I met Measurehead. He speaks the Semenese stuff, Kojkos, Aeropagite or something. I tried researching on it but even Wikipedia doesn't give a cohesive meaning to it.
I am wondering if the stuff put in here are all fictional or true facts from real world?
P.S. I am not an avid reader. Never finished an entire book in my life.
