"Dude, like, I know should probably go to HR, but she was SOOO good, man. And I know this sounds like me bragging, but afterwards, she said something about 'breaking the ice with the team' so I thought maybe she'd done something with you?"
Dan wasn't the first of your corworkers to have this particular conversation with you about your new manager, but it still just didn't make sense. You had stepped up and been the de facto manager while they searched for a replacement after your old manager had retired, so naturally the team looked to you for guidance in this... strange new development.
Given your unique position, the new manager, Sarah, asked for your advice with breaking the ice with the team in your first private sync meeting. Sarah is an absolute dream. She's funny, kind but driven, thorough, smart... yes yes, and absolutely gorgeous. When she asked your advice, in a moment of weakness, you said under your breath "well, I bet we'd all love to have you on our dicks".
It was stupid. In your defense, it's been awhile since you've been sexual with anyone. That didn't excuse it, and you remember feeling shitty after saying it. Sarah, thankfully, appeared not to have heard it. At least, not at the time. But you've been told that your voice carries, so maybe she did hear it afterall. It certainly appears that way.
"Nah, dude. I know that you're not the first one she's... uh... had relations with in the short time she's been here,"
Christ this feels like an HR violation just talking about this.
"But she didn't do anything with me in our first sync."
Dan whistled low. "Shame, man. Maybe she'll get around to you eventually. Because let me tell you dude. I don't want to get too graphic, but it's definitely worth it."
Rob came around the corner to where you and Dan were talking. "Yo, are you two talking about Sarah by chance?"
You and Rob shared a glance and smirk.
"Uh, yeah. Why?" You said, trying and failing to completely hide your expression.
"Just curious. We just had our first private sync and uh... I really, really think she's going to work out."
A few days later
"Ready for our first team meeting with the new manager?" Since your last conversation with Dan about Sarah, he'd started referring to Sarah as manager with a slight sarcasm. You both know that she's been doing an exceptional job as manager, but the image of a thorough and efficient employee is mixed with the image of a thorough lover for Dan.
You roll your eyes at him "Behave, dude. It's not like she's gonna suck us all off."
Sarah finally arrives "Good morning everyone, sorry I'm late. The end of fiscal year meeting I just came from ran over time. I suppose I should have seen that coming, but oh well.
"Anyway, 'welcome' doesn't seem right since you all have been so kind in welcoming me to your team. I've gotten to know each of you individually in our private syncs, and I look forward to getting to know each of you even better!"
At this, you and Dan exchange a look, and you also notice that just about every other coworker has some kind of smirk as well. You can piece together what this all means but... just... what the actual fuck???
"We have a lot to cover, but first I do have to explain something regarding our private syncs. Each of you has had a... unique experience with me, and I want to make two things clear.
"First, each of you had a similar experience. I apologize if I lead anyone to believe that they were receiving special treatment. As you all are well aware, it is against HR policy for a manager to show favoritism towards their employees, so I want it to be understood that I have not treated anyone with more or less warmth than anyone else.
"Secondly, I value all of you, not just as employees, but as people. I want to make sure you are all happy. Not to be too utilitarian, but we do our best work when all of our needs are satisfied. That's why I'm announcing that, starting today, I will have an open-door policy. I will close my door at times so as to not disturb my neighbors with my meetings, but if you any of you ever need to have an impromptu private sync, please feel free to come on in, regardless."
Wait... did... did Sarah really just say that? Not only did she officially announce that she's fucking all of your coworkers, but she just announced a free-use policy?
Again, what the actual fuck?
The rest of the team meeting proceeded normally, though with that general air of confusion and excitement from your coworkers. Afterwards, when you got back to your desk, you searched up the HR policies and, sure enough, there are policies against unfair treatment and similar things, but nothing explicitly banning sexual acts in the workplace. It would seem that as long as everyone had equal... treatment, everything was perfectly within the rules.
Although, not everyone had been treated equally. Sarah still hadn't synced with you, yet. At least, not in the same way that she, apparently, had with everyone else.
Author's note
Please feel free to continue the story! I can imagine this going in 2 directions: * Sarah finally visits the reader (more dirty) * Sarah never visits the reader, but other coworkers are more open about their experiences, making the reader feel cucked (more kinky, but also opens up for more plot & conflict)
Whether a continuation chooses one of those or goes ina completely different direction, I look forward to reading it!
