For a while I've had a fantasy about a white man and Latina in a passionate, sexual and perhaps romantic relationship. I must admit that interracial or cross-cultural aspect has fun potential to my imagination. Perhaps to both characters they feel their relationship is a little bit forbidden or taboo. I love that certain cliche or stereotype of a petite Latina with a round, firm bottom, narrow waist and big, full chest with long, dark hair, and warm, brown skin. Some of the traditional clothing, like the white peasant blouse and the long, flowing skirt are quite beautiful and flattering, in my opinion.

I have a few potential ideas for this one, but one of the things that comes to mind is that they come from very different spaces. I'll quickly say I'm not AT ALL into playing a racist, right-wing white man, as my politics are quite different. Divisions based on class, culture, power and other things are all options on the table. I don't want any hard race play in this, but something that plays up their differences and the excitement of that would be fun.

I'll put some ideas on the table, but please feel free to suggest others.

• Moved to a New Country (Current Favourite) - A man moves to a country in Latin America for work or school. Perhaps this is in a rural area even. I read a short story along these lines and it is a favourite. This could also take place sometime in the past. One idea I had for this one is that the she is the daughter of a wealthy landowner who would not approve in the slightest of his daughter sneaking off to sleep with a foreigner. It also puts her in the position of power, which is a nice flip of how these stories are often structured.
• Teaching What's Better - He lives a quiet, boring life with a boring, white girlfriend. She decides that she should show him what he's capable of and broaden his pallet.
• A Good Catholic Girl - After a torrid affair begins she gets pregnant (protection is sinful after all). Just because she likes to fuck doesn't mean she doesn't practice her beliefs as much as she can. He is going to become a husband and father before he knows it. Perhaps she even planned that from the start. Latin families are stereotyped for having big families and starting young!

I'm happy to incorporate magical realism into the story. I think it's fun to incorporate some Spanish, but I must admit that I don't understand the language outside of a few words. My exposure to Spanish, based on where I live, has been very limited.
