He shuffled through the corridors with all the appropriate urgency. It was the dead of night and while usually disturbing him from his sleep was very strictly a poor idea there were always exceptions. Even the weight of the rain that tipped and tapped at the windows seemed to appreciate the severity of the moment. In the distance a servant waived him on, pointing in the direction where the new arrivals were to be found.

When he finally turned the corner he was greeted with a familiar face, standing with the weight of his shoulders outside a doorway. The Lord-Commander of the Imperial Guard. His face was uncharacteristically pale and he looked to have aged ten years. "The reports, how true are they?" the news that had been coming in was frantic and almost certainly hysteric. It was always the case in situations like this. Not that situations like this were common.

"All too true I'm afraid." the momentary silence from the Lord-Commander was deafening in his own right. "The wine was poisoned, and the assassins thorough. Everyone in the Imperial family was gathered for the Emperor's birthday. Even extended cousins on the Empress's side were caught. One survivor, Gods be praised." A survivor? The reports hadn't mentioned a survivor. A breath of relief escaped his mouth. A survivor. "Who made it out?"

To answer the question the Lord-Commander slightly opened the door he had been perched outside. Just a crack so as not to disturb the person inside. Both men glanced inside. "The Princess, she was lucky. An assassin mistook her cousin for her and went for the kill. We got her out unnoticed." She was asleep. No doubt the attack had been traumatic and the ride through the storm far from ideal but whatever strength she had been forced to muster had given out in safety and sleep had claimed her.

"The Princess....and the future Empress." a slow nod as the realisation set in. The young woman sleeping before the two would one day be the most powerful person alive. Though it would be a few years before the Elector-Princes would confirm the official title on her. She may have been old enough to marry and perform functions as a member of the Imperial family, she would need a few years more experience before an Imperial Conclave would invest in her the full imperial powers. "Order has been restored in the Imperial Palace, we caught enough of the assassins alive to torture them for information. The conspirators are already being rounded up. They'll be executed before long but the Princess should stay here for now, under your guardianship. The people will look to you for guidance at this time. It will reassure them to see you and the Princess together." the Lord-Commanders words made sense. This was the best place. She would be safe here. Certainly for the foreseeable future. Conspirators being rounded up or not who could say if other threats lingered on the fringes.

"Yes....leave her here with me. I will take very good care of her."

Hello~ I'm seeking a partner for a longterm RP based around a fictional (possibly fantasy) Kingdom/Empire. The ruling family have been exterminated leaving only a single heir to the throne. The Princess is entrusted to someone (A Pope figure? Or some sort of Prime Minister?) but while she is at his mercy he will claim her sexually. I plan to primarily take on the role of the Princess, though our own plotting may open up other characters that are obligated into servitude under this figure who assumes a position of authority until the Princess can be named Empress.

If it is not otherwise clear, from a smut perspective this prompt is intended to primarily focus on a noncon relationship between the two. This may involve the Princess being 'trained in' to accepting his advances in a dubcon fashion. We may also explore other kinks, I'm happy to discuss the details with a partner.

An ideal partner would have strong interest in plotting & world building. If you are seeking to immediately jump into the RP I may not be the partner for you. While I'm seeking a partner with long term interest, due to RL commitments & a preference not to burn out I would prefer posting at a relaxed pace (though we can certainly chat & plot between posts).
