Your eyes were what I noticed first, glowing amber orbs that drowned out the beauty of the surrounding woods. While they had a animalistic focus to them, I could see other emotions hidden beneath the surface. Confusion, maybe even fear, it was obvious you were analyzing me as well from your position in the trees. Your claws, God they were sharp, began to did into the branch you were perched on, if I didn't know any better I'd say it was out of anxiety. My breathing quickened as I continued to take in the sight of you, and it seemed like your chest was now rising and falling as quickly as mine.

I had seen animals on my walks before, but the only things I would consider remotely dangerous had been some snacks and a fox. They hadn't made me feel fear, not really, not like you. Maybe I could have convinced myself that you were just some crazy woman in a getup that had climbed up a tree by the trail, just someone trying to get some cheap scares for whatever reason. That possibility disappeared when you started extending your wings, the membranes that were as grey as your skin stretched out and caught a bit of sunlight in them. I could see the veins inside of them just as you could with a bat's wings, they were real, you were real. And all the while you continued to just stare at me, and so I stared back.

It wasn't just your eyes that were strange, despite having a very human looking face your mouth and ears were just wrong. Lips stretched far too wide and ears far too pointy. The fact that you're naked hasn't escaped me either, save for what seem to be patches of fur on your otherwise smooth-skinned body. The fur seems to be generalized to your collarbone, your head, and your... region.

I'm not sure how long I stood there taking it all in, frozen in place, but you finally did something that made me break. You opened your mouth, revealing two rows of teeth that were much too sharp, and slid your tongue out. And of course it was much too long, it's length continued sliding over your fangs until I could see it fully. It extended at least half-a-foot out of your mouth, and that's when my brain finally screamed at me that I was about to be dinner.

I hardly remember the run home, or the subsequent panic. Sam, my then fiancé, had finally been able to calm me down long enough to get the full story out of me. He was skeptical of course, and just wanting to make things better started me on the path of believing I had just seen some weird bat or bird in bad lighting. I never really believed this of course, but at the end of it all I just wanted to move on. And so I did, despite the occasional nightmare I managed to move past my fear of the incident and keep living my life.

There was one kind of dream that never really went away. It usually happens when Sam isn't with me, I'd like to call it a nightmare as it does freak me out, but it doesn't really fit into the category. I'm back on the path looking at you, in my nightmares this is when you'd swoop down off of your branch and I'd run for dear life, sometimes making it and sometimes not. In these dreams things are different, and I can always tell right off the bat. It's not like I'm fully lucid, but everything feels much more real somehow. And you don't start on the branch, instead you're standing in front of me on the path, towering over me as we take in the sight of each other. And then, you pull me into an embrace. I can feel the heat of your body against mine as you wrap your arms and wings around me. This is usually when my memory gets foggy and I wake up feeling very... pleased to say the least. I've seen your face leaning towards mine for a kiss, but the most I can ever remember is your lips just barely brushing against mine. It wasn't the sort of trauma process that I had expected to get, but I settled on the fact that I don't get to decide how my brain works through shit.

The incident itself was two years ago, and I haven't had one of those "weird dreams" for several months now. Sam and I are married now and still living in the same house, which is near the same trail that I now walk on now and then. You were nothing but a distant memory, an unpleasant nightmare I used to have, and I was content to leave it at that. Yet tonight as I got into bed by myself, Sam was out for work, I noticed a certain earthy scent in the room. I had already turned off the light, yet still looked around all the same. Then my eyes settled on the corner of the room furthest from me, and my heart beat quickened.

Two pools of gold stared at me, and I could do nothing but stare back.

This is actually a much shorter version of a prompt I made before, I'm hoping that condensing it will let it get more attention since I really want to play with this creature I made. I say "made" loosely since I'm drawing inspiration from multiple sources, but as far as I know the creature itself is completely original to me.

You are a Krym, an intelligent, predatory, and solitary creature that survives by staying out of the spotlight. One key feature about you that does wonders to help with this is the fact that you automatically alter the perception of any living creature so that they can't see you. You can reveal yourself if you chose to, but this isn't recommended since once something sees you it can never unsee you. The only exception to this are mates, Krym find their mates because it's literally the only other Krym that they can see. This is what happened with me, which is why you were very anxious and confused when it became obvious that I could see you.

In the two years that we've been apart you've had time to process this, and you haven't been able to stop thinking about me. As such you've used this time to prepare, hiding in crowds to learn our language and practices so that when you finally confront me we can hold a real conversation.

I think us being mates has created a link between us, even if I'm less aware of it. Hence the "weird dreams" that I sometimes have which are likely just a result of you trying to form positive emotions towards me.

Now I am very down with weird inhuman/human nasty boinking, but I've already typed too much and won't get into exact details here. So besides steamy inhuman monster boinking, where do I want this to go? Honestly I'm very open to suggestions story-wise, that goes for anything I've already setup or anything for the future. Basically I see this as the creature turning into a kind of live-in side piece, as simplistic as that sounds. It understands what my marriage means and it accepts that I have no desire to end it even if it may not feel the same. I'm still down for a good bit of drama/romance don't you worry.

You can craft whatever personality you'd like for it, hell it could be endearing for the creature that's been haunting my dreams to actually be super sweet and kind. Or maybe it's a bit shy and nervous, or it's aggressive and assertive. Personality traits, clarifications on physical traits, anything and everything can be brainstormed between you and me.

There's still a lot left for us to setup and brainstorm about, so don't expect us to just jump right into things. With that being said, do lemme know whatcha think!
