When the Emperor died with no clear heir it plunged his great domain into civil war. At first a dozen separate factions all backed different claimants but before long it became clear who the two front runners were. One was the most powerful King under the Emperor. Having inherited numerous titles from royal parents & grandparents he stood monarch over vast territories. To many he seemed a natural selection if a new Imperial Dynasty was to become the King-of-Kings. The other faction backed a distant cousin of the Emperor. A ‘Grand Princess’ in her own right but perhaps more important to some, the Imperator of the Imperial army.

The King had the bigger army and more money to wage his war but the Imperator was as skilled a military leader as the Empire had ever seen. In a brutal war of attrition she tipped the scales in her favour and battle after battle forced the King to retreat, to play more defensively. It seemed to many victory was within reach of the Grand Princess, she just needed to make the final push. Then everything changed.

The King arranged his own marriage and secured a powerful ally outside the Empire. It provided essential last minute reinforcements. The Princess’s army had been winning battle after battle but each victory had cost some of her strength, and so far into enemy territory supplies were getting stretched. The King’s capital had been put to siege when the reinforcements arrived. The Princess-Imperator suffered her first real defeat and she was in a poor position to recover. With no other option she retreated to safer territory, to regroup with her allies and try to raise fresh forces. This was when the King pushed his advantage, reclaiming lost land and striking against her vulnerable allies. When it was clear he held the position of strength he sent letters all across the Empire with a clear message. ‘Hand over the Princess and you can keep your titles & privileges in the Empire.’

The war didn’t end immediately but everyone was growing tired and desperate for peace. Eventually a cabal of the Princess-Imperator’s allies turned on her, seizing her when she believed herself safe and wrote to the King. It was time to make a deal and end the war. The remainder of her allies, many of whom were old and powerful nobility in the Empire, were horrified but she was captured. Too large a fraction of her support base had switched sides to save their own skin.

The war was over. The King became the Emperor and those that had resisted were forced to fall in line. There was still the matter of her however. She could not be killed. She was last of an Imperial line and her death would risk making her a martyr but the King had a better idea. He was Emperor now and he was more than entitled to an official mistress, or a concubine. What better sign of his conquest of the old Dynasty than to make the last woman his mistress? Perhaps it was greed, or vanity or simple lust. Either way, everyone would know who was in charge of the Princess-Imperator was taking his cock.

I'm seeking a partner for a long term RP based around the two characters described above, the King-turned-Emperor & the ‘Princess-Imperator’ who will be obligated into becoming a mistress/concubine. An ideal partner would have a keen interest in worldbuilding & plotting. As noted above this is intended to be long term though due to RL commitments I would prefer posting at a relaxed pace (though I hope we chat & plot between posts).
