Long distance relationships are hard to maintain when the partners are simply in different cities. With the opening of humanity to the galactic community, there were a brave many that attempted to make it work across lightyears.

I was one of those hopeful to keep an alien partner in my heart, despite them being in a solar system I can only find in my backyard telescope.

Now, there’s a few ways I can see this going:

FTL communication, but no FTL travel:

For the moment, we have only been able to figure out how to shrink the distances between stars for transmitted data, and not for matter of any significance. The galaxy is only connected by information, and it seems there is yet no hope for us to ever meet in person.

However, one thing that can be shared between systems is schematics, and profits. The industrious of our worlds have found a niche market that has a particular need for certain discrete items. Sex toys of other species become hot-ticket items for couples isolated to their own stars. Based on alien design, and manufactured at home, there’s plenty of variety in the proxy you can get for your xeno lover.

I could get myself a dildo based on your species. One that I got modeled as closely to yours as I possibly could. And on your end, you could have a fleshlight, or a fake booty to just overstuff with hot alien seed. And of course, there are more interesting toys on the market, should we need.

Though, maybe that isn’t enough. Maybe you need something else. Something living and breathing. One of your own species. But maybe I find a way to smuggle myself across the cosmos, and I find myself on an alien world with one place for refuge.
