The wooden planks groan under the strain of the crashing waves. All manner of beings shouting orders over the raging storm, working desperately to keep the ship afloat. One black wave after another batter the side of the strong oaken vessel under deathly clouds illuminated by fractured light. The sky booms its thunderous roars at the ship that refuses to sink. You barely keep your footing on the slick wooden deck doused in rain and sea alike. You hear a voice from far away, but the storm muffles any distinguishable words. Then you see it, a massive stone cliff face right under your nose. The crew works to correct their course, but it's too late. Jagged stone teeth tear into the lumber, splintering planks of your floating home. The ocean finishes the job, tearing the vessel asunder and swallowing it piece by piece, along with your crewmates. You grab hold of a piece of wood, hoping it will be your salvation as the cold water consumes you. You feel the violent currents push you to and fro, disorienting you. Just as you're certain the end is near you feel something, land. Wet sand clings to you as you get to your feet. Your feet are swallowed by wet sand with every step you take along the shore. Just ahead of you are tall luscious trees rocking in the violent wind. Looking back you see some shattered remains of what was once your home

So that's the start of my idea, you're shipwrecked and have to survive on this new island. It's not overly unique, I know, but I have plans. Oh boy, do I have plans.
