The kingdom of man has maintained a strong presence in the land for ages. Their blacksmiths are not quite as skilled as dwarves, their spellcasters less gifted than elves, and their bodies less powerful than orcs, yet they have found a way to not only survive, but thrive.
How can this be? Perhaps their well rounded nature makes them more adaptable. Or perhaps there's something to those legends of old. You know the tales, right? That some odd clan called the Seers lives in the mountains, living in secret and only interacting with the kingdom of man to warn them of catastrophe.
It's said that the Seers will send a highly trained, skilled, and powerful guardian to any individual destined to lead humanity to greatness, or save them from calamity. To receive such a guardian would be an honor equal to none, but these are just stories, right?
