We'd met years ago at a church camp when we were young and just learning who we were. I was the bad boy who was questioning my faith in things and she was still a good girl, following the rules and the like. We never did anything but she and I definitely remembered one another for a while.

Heading into college life she invited me to her campus for a sorority mixer. We had our first real physical interaction there, but again, didn't do much. She was still hanging onto her various moral quibbles but we always had fun and there wasn't any pressure.

Then, as things tend to go, we went our separate ways.a decade went by with no talk at all. Then it reached fifteen years, when suddenly... there she was, liking a random video of mine on YouTube. She definitely would've had to search my name. Obvious signal that turned out to definitely be that. Turned out we were going to be in the same city later. We decided to meet up while I was in town for some lunch.

It wasn't until I arrived at lunch and saw her there that there was a shift in the air. It was her outfit. Dead giveaway. Any more buttons undone on her blouse and the thing would've been wide open. A ring finger with a nice little diamond but no mention of her husband in the first twenty minutes of conversation. Her eyes smiling even more than her mouth. A subtle touch of my arm during a laugh.

It was going to be an interesting next six months...
