My marriage has been fraught with arguing so loud the neighbors can hear. Ever since we moved in next door, you have been able to hear, countless nights in a row, as we are consistently yelling at each other. You have heard her threaten me, throw things, destroy furniture and pictures.

She is too much. After each argument, you hear me walk outside into the back yard. You have seen me leave the house to get space, to avoid any chance of striking back in anger.

We share a small fence in the backyard, and we have struck up conversations before, just to distract me from what's going on at home. Slowly, we have come to be closer. You have slowly become my escape from my anger filled house. We have joked, laughed, and shared stories from our past.

Now, there seems to be a small tension in the air between us. Something neither of us put too much thought in. Something that is taboo, but at the same time, exciting.
