I think it's quite often thought that men are actually more likely to try to chat up less attractive women as they think they have a chance.
Is this total rubbish? My mate Dave (literally haha) says he had a couple of attractive women over the years due to being the only one who actually showed any interest in them as people which also kind of relates.
This is also clearly just an excuse to try to get cute women to message me, obviously!
