I wake up and look at my phone. Forecast calling for sunny weather with a high near 78F/25C. "Great...." I think to myself laying back down on the pillow. Then I realize that Kelly is already out of bed. "Wake up," she says, coming out of the bathroom. "We're going to the beach today and meeting one of my friends who just moved here from England. So be good. She is bringing some new beachwear for both of us."
I get out of bed, slowly. I hate the beach. The heat, the crowds, the sand. It's all terrible. But if Kelly wants to go, then the situation is pretty much decided for us, and I know better than to protest too much. I pick out a shirt and some shorts and head out to the car. Kelly is already in the passenger seat waiting for me.
"Haha, that sounds perfect, Jasmine! We'll see you soon!" She says as she hangs up the phone.
We get to the beach and she runs over to you giving you a kiss on the cheek. "Bunny (her more public nickname for me) come meet Jasmine!" She calls over to me as I get the gear out of the car.
