Howdy. I'm finding the EDM and rave scene a little bit later in life, so my friends are either too tired, have kids, or just don't want to go. I started going to flipside a couple of years ago and love that life. I venture out to events in town when I can. Went to Body Mechanics last night and had a blast, but went by myself, so I just took mushies and vibed out on a couch out of the way. While I thoroughly enjoyed that, I would like to meet some people that I could hang out with there or other shows. I often want to approach people, but I'm awkward, older, and a cis white dude, so I err on the side of not wanting to make people feel uncomfortable and just chill by myself.
