[Resolution Discussion] A resolution on awards - an incentive to make the civcitizens more active in the community
Author Summary
Post Body

As a delegate for Mount Augusta , I propose that the Forum for International Diplomacy:

Create a set of awards that can be awarded to any person. This concept was one of the original drafting ideas that was proposed which would aid in creating a closer-knit international community.

The drafters at the time agreed upon 4 awards, they were:

Romec Peace Prize

The Romec Peace Prize, with inspiration from Romec's peaceful attitude, is an award given to an individual or group of individuals who were responsible for making the server a more peaceful place through whatever means possible. To be nominated for the prize, the Forum delegates must call for a vote in favour of the targeted individual or group.

Maxopoly Engineering Prize

The Maxopoly Engineering Prize, with inspiration from Maxopoly's great server-side contributions to the community, is an award given to an individual or group of individuals who have developed strides in either redstone engineering or server-side issues to make the server a better experience for all. To be nominated for the prize, the Forum delegates must call for a vote in favour of the targeted individual or group.

Gobblin Aesthetics Award

The Gobblin Aesthetics Award, with inspiration from Gobblin's amazing ability to build, is an award given to an individual or group of individuals who have contributed greatly to improving a city or region aesthetically through means of building structures, terraforming, or any other building-related activities. To be nominated for the prize, the Forum delegates must call for a vote in favour of the targeted individual or group.

WormWizard News Award

The WormWizard News Award, with inspiration from WormWizards's great journalism, is an award given to an individual or group of individuals who have created the best investigative or journalistic piece of CivClassics media, whether in game or outside of game. To be nominated for the prize, the Forum delegates must call for a vote in favour of the targeted individual or group.

I suggest that within the voting process for an award, all delegates are given the right to vote. If the nominated individual/group gets 10 delegates to support their nomination with a "Yes/Aye", the individual/group will be awarded with an official FID award. An in game ceremony can proceed if all parties involved are comfortable with it.

Side note: For the future, I suggest that the amount of delegates needed for an award to be awarded fluctuates depending on how many delegates are active in the forum. This number should hover around 10-15 in my opinion.

Charter

Article 6 of the Charter states that:

Any member, through one of its delegates, may propose a resolution to the Forum.
A resolution is proposed by posting it to the subreddit (the resolution discussion thread).
After a resolution has been proposed—
a. the delegates may discuss the resolution in the resolution discussion thread; and

b. 24 hours after the resolution discussion thread was created—the delegate must propose that the resolution be voted on (the resolution voting thread);

c. the voting delegates may vote on the resolution; and

d. 48 hours after the resolution voting thread was created—the Moderation must tally the votes.
[Irrelevant sub-articles omitted.]

What happens next

The delegates may discuss the proposed resolution in the comments of this thread.

After this thread has been posted for 24 hours, the delegate who proposed the resolution must decide whether to put the proposed resolution to a vote. If a vote is not proposed, the proposed resolution is taken to have been defeated.

Resolutions are non-binding

Article 7 of the Charter (which cannot be amended) states that "All resolutions of the Forum are non-binding in nature."

These summary explanations are guidelines only. They are not an official interpretation of the rules. In the case of any inconsistency between this explanation and the rules, the rules will prevail.
