An election is being held for a vacant position on the Moderation. There was a tie in the results of the election.
Charter
Article 14 of the Charter states that:
- This article applies where there is a tie in an election held under article 13.
- The Moderation must post a thread on the subreddit for members, through their voting delegates, to cast their ballot on the remaining candidates (the run-off voting thread).
- The candidates are each of the candidates from the voting thread who received the second-highest number of votes.
- A ballot must contain the name of the single candidate the voter wishes to vote for.
- After the run-off voting thread has been posted for a period of 2 days, the Moderation must count the ballots and declare the candidate with the highest number of votes as the winner.
- If this article applies to a casual vacancy, the electee shall serve the remainder of the term of the previous moderator.
Candidates
Following the election, the following persons were tied in the race for moderator:
- Gjum - /u/Gjum
- Skinny - /u/j4mietech
- (/u/Ahrimanazu is elected as a moderator, as he got the 2nd highest votes. Both Gjum and Skinny both had the 3rd highest, with 3 each.)
How to vote
In a top-level comment, list the names of the candidate that you wish to vote for as a moderator. You can list only one name.
If your purported vote contains more than one name, it will be discarded and not counted.
Note that only voting delegates may vote in the election. If you wish to change the delegates for your member, please inform the Moderation as soon as possible.
What happens next
After two days, the Moderation will count the ballots and declare the candidate with the highest number of votes as the new moderator.
