I came to the question in the title while thinking about how businesses operate.
Typically, someone knows how to provide a valuable good or service, and then they have to figure out how to get it in front of the right people.
On the other hand, is their a term/phrase/idea for knowing an audience inside and out, perhaps by growing up with a certain niche culture or group of people, and then working to bring relevant products/services to them?
As I just finished writing the previous paragraph, I realize that this is pretty much the idea of Influencer Marketing, no? On the other hand, if we assume that one only has the detailed understanding of a specific group but no following, that is certainly different.
In my mind, I am imagining that this is a specific strategic approach to marketing. Instead of finding the audience that fits the product, you find the product that fits the audience. Is this maybe just the idea of customer-centric marketing?
Thanks for any thoughts and feedback about this!
