I’ve begun vending recently and am seeing more than ever how important it is to have a cohesive visual style, which I’ve never worked on developing and am unsure whether one has developed on its own. Would really appreciate feedback from other artists; I’m brand new to selling my art or even sharing it publicly and I’ve never spent any dedicated significant swaths of time actually drawing or trying to spend time being an artist (at least since high school and art class fifteen years ago) so I’m looking forward to getting my head together and beginning to intentionally develop art as an actual skill and not a hobby I do a handful of times each year.
*mixed media- some drawings are almost entirely done on my tablet, many are pen or pencil sketches first or even full drawings (ink, colored pencil, sharpies and copics, etc) before transferring them over to add detail or change colors and whatnot in PS)

The super detailed faces are by far my absolute favorite part of drawing much of the time:) What is it that tells you it’s “offputting to MOST,” rather than just yourself, is there a study you can cite or any non-anecdotal or more widespread feedback?
Hey thank you so so much for being the only person to respond and also for taking so much time and thought to do so!! I had in mind more of that fun, “what two weird words would describe this” type of game thing but thank uou so much for the critique! What dod you mean about the “rainbow cosmic” thing being slapped on all the pieces, can you point to some specific examples so I can better understand please?:)
As far as an album being a potential food first job, I totally agree! Although I actually already have had MANY jobs at this point haha aside from being a professional graphic designer I do a lot of freelance projects, and these pieces (my own style that hasn’t been commissioned or affected by anyone else’s opinion) actually sell incredibly well ever since I began vending they are wildly popular, which really surprised even me (or rather, especially me!) Either way I super appreciate all your feedback! How long have you been an artist, what do you do?:)
