I am looking to getting into the diesel tech industry and was looking for some advice.
Post Body

I want to work on heavy equipment or agricultural equipment and am trying to decide if I should go to trade school or jump right into a job.

I talked to one guy at a agricultural shop and he said his school didn't prepare him for the job and as long as you want to work they will train you. However this is one guy's opinion and I'm curious what others think.

A little background. I live in Arkansas, I have a machinist certification (it was a 5 years ago since I have done anything with it) and I am also always working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors. So I know how to use a variety of different tools.
