7.3 idi vs 12 valve?

I'm my experience my 7.3 is very reliable but a bit too gutless for my liking but body and suspension is holding up very well. My 12v is also extremely reliable and has a bit more power than the 7.3 stock to stock, I know the cummins has heaps more potential for power than the 7.3. On the dodge body is in good shape but the front end is horrible and so is the trans, I have the rag 5 speed. One day in the future the cummins will be dropped in the ford but for now I'm still torn as to which truck I like more.
