4bt suffer from the kdp like the 6bt?
Post Body

Borrowed a family members well used case 1840 skid steer today to move some stuff around. This thing is from the mid to late 80’s and has unknown amounts of hours on it. I’d guess easily 10k if not 20k hours on it. Anyways about an hour into using it, the engine unexpectedly made a single pop and died. It’ll still crank over but sounds like it lost all compression. Does this sound like the typical kdp issue? Have to wait till Monday to get some equipment and tools together to try and drag this thing out of the woods before we tear it down.

Oh yea I’m not worried about being blamed. Family member knows I don’t break shit, and understands it’s a 35 yr old machine with tons of hours. Luckily it was a back up/loaner machine.
