Are split pour cups worth it for dirty pours?

I recently saw a kickstarter for some and, while the technique looks nice, I don't know if its worth it over the normal alcohol ink on top of resin style. I saw firebolt dice had some as well but they seem a bit pricey.
Anyone have first hand experience?
