These are black inside. I'm currently making a set that is clear inside. Will give them away together, as light and dark version. But really... The beauty of these is giving me quite a high. :D
They are also near perfect. No bubbles. So I'm pretty proud of that. I'm learning.
This set is black. I have another in the mold right now, that is clear. I'll give them both to my son as some kind of "light and dark" theme.
And yes, that could be cool but honestly, then I could just as well just not add any powder there.
I'll go have a look at yours!
I know.
I'll experiment with some extras and think about it.
Is it like the powder, but bigger particles?
These are made with ordinary mica powder for practice and sanded, I think it looks ok: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/752887990891839516/1279090755868033215/IMG_20240830_105420_952.jpg?ex=66d32d98&is=66d1dc18&hm=23548aef90cc240bb780398b7252e9a2c99d3b565fa02b1cf066befdc5380d9c&
I still have time to decide about these.
Yes, it will obviously make the corners just black/clear.
I made a practice version with ordinary mica before I got the chameleon powder, and they look ok with sanded edges. Also made a couple of throwaways in my old mold now, so I can try it out before final decision.
I ordered the mold with the less dangerous D4 but they sent the wrong one and I'm hesitant to leave those caltrops unsanded.
Yes!
Well, black mica because my black ink turned out pretty useless but same thing.
Of course.
Sanding the edges to make the dice more pleasant to handle means the edges become black/clear. Trade off. I'll think about it.
I knooow! 😍 The pigment is just insane!
Sure!
But I have none of that. I'm guessing I'd heat the resin up a little, and brush some on the shed before putting it in the mold to reduce air clinging to it.
I do not. Anything i should think about? He said he has shed from both of his snakes lying around and I can just come get it. The snakes are huge so might look silly in small dice but worth a try.

Yes, and the colour shifts depending on the angle you look at them from.
