Hi everyone. I've got a loose diamond in a broken-off setting that I'm looking to sell, and I'd like to know the best way to get as much of its value as possible. Would you get more if you take it to a jeweler? Gem trader? Private sale? Something online like IDoNowIDont?
The stone is 3/4 carat with good clarity & quality. One jeweler told us it's a $3500 stone. Definitely tempering my expectations, but I'd like to get as much of that as possible, obviously.
Will it be worth the investment to have it set on a new band and then appraise & sell it? But then again, where & how to best sell said ring?
Thanks for your help!
